Welcome to Bankstown IEC

We always welcome students from high school age and post-high school age, that is between 17-years-old and up to 21-years-old anytime and we welcome their families too during the term who live in any part of Sydney.

Welcome to Bankstown IEC

Bankstown IEC centre provides newly arrived migrant and refugee students from 17 to 21 years old with English language skills so that they can continue to Bankstown Senior College or to other high schools. Our Intensive English Centre is well known for its very strong welfare programs and learning. We operate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Term 1/2025 classes started on THURSDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2025 for ALL students. 

New students and families can call our school on 9796 8138 to make enquiries about enrolments for Term 1.

The Head Teacher, Mr Kametopoulos and all staff welcome the returning students and all the new students at the IEC. 

This Term is an 11 week term and lesson will finish on Thursday 10 April 2025.

Then it is the 2 week April Autumn/Easter School Holidays.

  • Term 1 (The Summer term): Thursday 6 February 2025 - Thursday 10 April 2025
  • Term 2 (The Autumn term): Wednesday 30 April 2025 - Thursday 3 July 2025
  • Term 3 (The Winter term): Tuesday 22 July 2025 - Thursday 25 September 2025
  • Term 4 (The Spring term): Tuesday 14 October 2025 - Tuesday 17 December 2025 
  • Summer Holidays: Wednesday 19 December 2025 - Monday 3 February 2026
