SUMMER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS FOR THE STUDENTS:

Friday 19 December 2025  –  Sunday 1 February 2026

The Bankstown Senior College Principal, Mr Mazzitelli, the IEC Head Teacher, Mr Kametopoulos, the IEC Second-in-Charge, Ms Hubbard and all staff wish our students and their families a Merry Christmas, a Happy New year and a relaxing 6 week summer holiday.

Telephone enquiries for new interviews and enrolments can happen during the first 3 SDDs (School Development Days) of the new year as the Office staff will be available: Tuesday 27 January, Wednesday 28 January and Thursday 29 January on 02 9796 8138.                         

During these 3 days, all staff (teachers, support, bilingual and office staff) will be doing professional learning at the school. 

Interested students, families and others may talk to our friendly IEC Office staff.

Please note that students

·       must be between 17-21 years of age

·       be not more than 6 months in Australia since they arrived

·       have the right visa documents and other documents, e,g. passport

·       must not have finished high school (Year 12) in their country.

It is important students have very good attendance at the school in order to get the IEC Graduation certificate at the end of their course.

1st DAY BACK FOR ALL STUDENTS:

The 1st day back for all returning students and those who have been successful is Monday 2 February 2026 between 8.00am-8.30am. 

At 8.30am, the returning students will have an Assembly in the College Hall or in the TLS. 

At 8.30am, the new students will have a special Orientation 2 hour lesson in the IEC Library (Room 6). It is important that the new students bring an empty school bag to school as they will get new exercise books and a pencil case with pens, pencils, rulers, sharperners etc.

All students can bring some food from home or money to buy food from the school cafeteria.
