Welcome to Bankstown IEC

Bankstown IEC centre provides newly arrived migrant and refugee students from 17 to 26 years old with English language skills so that they can continue to Bankstown Senior College or to other high schools. Our Intensive English Centre is well known for its very strong welfare programs and learning. We operate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

April school holiday details

We are CLOSED for the April School holidays between Friday 12 April 2024 - Sunday 28 April 2024. The IEC will be open again ONLY for STAFF (teachers and support/office staff) on Monday 29 April 2024.

ALL STUDENTS must come back to school on TUESDAY 30 April 2024 before 8.30am. 

Returning Students will have an Assembly at 8.30am in the School Hall for messages from the Head Teacher Mr Kametopoulos. The students will also get their Term 2 timetable from Ms Hubbard. 

NEW students will have special Orientation lesson in the IEC Library (Room 5) at 8.30am with Ms Palivos and Ms Cano.

  • Summer Holidays: Wednesday 18 December 2024 - Friday 30 January 2025
