Getting here

Bankstown Intensive English Centre is about 2.8 kilometers away from Bankstown Train station. It is about a 25-30 minute walk or 4-6 minute drive.

Parking

There is a student car park area at the school and students can drive their car to the school. However, they must get a special display sign to put on the dashboard of their car. They can apply to get one at the Bankstown Intensive English Centre office.

Opal cards

For students who live more than 1.8 kilometers away from the school, the office applies for a free Opal card which can be used between home and school on school days only between 6am and 7pm.

At other times, students can use their Concessional Opal card which gives them half price of a normal travel as they are full-time students at the Bankstown Intensive English Centre.

Travelling by bus

Red (Private Transdev) bus M90

For students coming from the Bankstown area, students can catch the red Transdev bus M90 (Burwood-Liverpool) from the Bankstown Train Station Bus Area. The M90 bus leaves Banktown every 5-10 minutes in the morning and it stops at Chapel Road South, near Eldridge Road. Then it is a 5-7 minute walk to the school. Going back to Bankstown Train Station is the same way as coming to Bankstown Intensive English Centre in the morning from Chapel Road.

For students coming from the Liverpool area, students can catch the red Transdev bus M90 (Liverpool-Burwood) from the Liverpool Train Station Bus Area. The M90 bus leaves Liverpool every 5-10 minutes in the morning and it stops at Chapel Road South, near Eldridge Road. Then it is a 5-7 minute walk to the school. Going back to Liverpool Train Station is the same way as coming to Bankstown Intensive English Centre in the morning from Chapel Road.

Blue (Government) Bus 487

For students coming from Bankstown Train station, students can catch the blue Government bus 487 (Bankstown-Canterbury) from the Bankstown Train station Bus area. The bus stop is outside the school and Bankstown Hospital.

In the morning, Bus 487 leaves Bankstown Train Station Bus Area the following times:

  • 7:07am arriving at the school at 7:15am
  • 7:39am arriving at the school at 7:47am
  • and then at 8:39am arriving at the school late at 8:47am.

In the afternoon, Bus 487 leaves the school for Bankstown Train Station the following times:

  • 3:31pm arriving at the train station at 3.46pm
  • 4:02pm arriving at the train station at 4:17pm
  • 4:32pm arriving at the train station at 4:47pm.

Blue (Private) Bus 426

For students coming from Bankstown Train station, students can catch the blue private bus 426 (Bankstown-Revesby Heights) from the Bankstown Train station Bus area. The bus stop is outside the school and Bankstown Hospital.

In the morning, Bus 426 leaves Bankstown Train Station Bus Area the following times:

  • 7:50am arriving at the school at 8.00am
  • 8.05am arriving at the school at 8.15am
  • 8.13am arriving at the school at 8.23am
  • and then at 8:39am arriving at the school late at 8:49am.

In the afternoon, Bus 426 leaves the school for Bankstown Train Station the following times:

  • 2.10pm arriving at the train station at 2.21pm
  • 3:35pm arriving at the train station at 3.45pm
  • 4:05pm arriving at the train station at 4:16pm
  • 4:35pm arriving at the train station at 4:46pm.
